4. Data Processing Addendum (DPA)
This section applies when Microcomputer Specialists, Inc acts as a Data Processor for our clients (the Data Controllers).

4.1 Scope of Processing We process data for the purposes of performing IT maintenance, cloud storage, and cybersecurity audits for the duration of the service agreement.

4.2 Obligations of the Processor• Instruction: We only process data based on the client’s written instructions.
• Confidentiality: All employees authorized to process data are under strict confidentiality obligations.
• Security: We implement industry-standard technical measures, including encryption and secure remote access, to protect data.
• Data Breach Notification: We will notify the client without undue delay upon becoming aware of a data breach.
• Data Return/Deletion: At the end of our agreement, we will return or delete all data unless legal requirements mandate otherwise.

4.3 Specific Service Clauses• Remote Management: We access systems only for authorized troubleshooting, updates, or maintenance.
• Cloud Hosting: Clients retain ownership of all data. We do not inspect or share content except as required for technical support or legal mandates.
• Cybersecurity Audits: Findings from audits are kept strictly confidential.
• PC Builds: While we exercise extreme care, clients are responsible for backing up data prior to service.
